John graduated from Cook College in 1989 with a BS in environmental science. While further building his education at Rutgers University, he helped found and was heavily active in their organic gardening club. John has been an avid organic grower for over 25 years.From 1996 to 2001, John managed the Heirloom Harvest Farm in Blairstown, NJ. The following year he left to join Dick Moran at Starbrite Farm and in 2003 started his own business by taking over the farm's complete operation.2003 was also the first year John began as a CSA farmer - starting with a group in Montclair/Bloomfield. Two years later, he partnered with the JCC CSA in West Orange.Over the course of the past ten years, John has continued his education of organic farming through numerous conferences, workshops and various collegiate studies.We had such a wonderful and successful experience with John in the 2006 and 2007 seasons and it is once again our pleasure to partner with him for 2008!Below are some pictures taken of John's farm grounds back in late 2005 when our core group visited him for the first time. We were charmed, as you can tell from the snaps we took.
